At the beginning of November, VAS Hanoi welcomed 3 PLC girls as part of the annual exchange program between PLC Sydney and VAS Hanoi. Laura, Suzanne and Stella were keen to experience a new learning environment at VAS Hanoi and to discover Vietnam.
Besides learning as VAS students, the PLC girls supported international teachers in Primary and Secondary classes a great deal. They helped by reading English stories to students and showed them how to pronounce words correctly.
One of the outstanding activities of this Exchange Program was the trip to Thuy An Disability Children and Older Nourishing Center. Each year VAS Hanoi and PLC students organize charity activities to raise funds and help less fortunate children in this center.
VASers students and host families provided the PLC girls with an impressive Vietnamese experience which included living with Vietnamese families, cooking and enjoying various Vietnamese food, and visiting must-see places in Hanoi.
A month of new things and unforgettable memories passed quickly. VAS Hanoi believes that both PLC girls and VASers had a great time together. Everything they learned, everywhere they visited and everyone they met contributed to a useful and interesting experience.
