Often known as a game for the intellectually gifted, chess is the best sport to exercise the most important organ in our bodies, the brain. Chess requires players to be, not only intelligent but also very patient. This explains why the Chess club has been a popular place at VAS Hanoi to many students.

Tran Trung Dung received the first prize (the 5th place from right to left)
Tran Trung Dung represented to receive the second prize for team (the second place from right to left)
The student Tran Trung Dung (class 8V1) won the first prize for an individual in the 14-15 year age group. This is the third consecutive time that Dung has achieved this outstanding prize. Additionally, he and his teammates, Le Trung Hieu (class 9V1) and Gao Thanh Long (class 9V1) won the second prize for teams in the 14-15 age group.

Le Trung Phong (class 5A4) who has challenged in many Chess competitions gained first prize for individuals aged 9-10. Trung Phong and his teammate, Xuan Hieu (class 5A3) also won third prize for teams in the 9-10 age group.
