Dr. Burgis: “It’s a joy to return to VAS Hanoi – my wonderful friends.” These were the heartfelt words of Dr. Burgis, Principal of PLC Sydney, as he stepped onto the grounds of VAS Hanoi. The memories of his speech at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of VAS Hanoi seven years ago came flooding back.

Dr. Burgis expressed his delight at seeing the school today, more spacious and modern than ever. He was also touched to see many long-serving teachers still dedicated to the school, playing a vital role in strengthening the bond between PLC Sydney and VAS Hanoi.

VAS Hanoi warmly welcomed Dr. Paul Burgis, Principal of PLC Sydney, with affection, admiration, and gratitude. Over the years, Dr. Burgis has been a steadfast supporter of VAS Hanoi, fostering numerous opportunities for teachers and students from both schools to exchange knowledge and experiences. This visit underscored the deep bond between the two institutions and the special connection Dr. Burgis shares with VAS Hanoi.

Accompanying the reception were representatives from the leadership teams of Lê Quý Đôn Primary, Middle, and High Schools. After inquiring about the students' academic progress, Dr. Burgis visited classrooms and engaged directly with VAS Hanoi students.

A heartwarming surprise awaited him: although the visit was unannounced, the students had managed to prepare a meaningful gift for their "Great Teacher" from PLC Sydney. They presented Dr. Burgis with a handmade Mid-Autumn Festival lantern they had just completed during their lessons. Touched by the thoughtful gesture, Dr. Burgis said, "Thank you! This is truly a wonderful gift for me. I wish you all great success in your studies and joy in every lesson!"

Dr. Paul Burgis, with over 30 years of experience in education and school leadership, is the 12th Principal of PLC Sydney. His visit further solidified the enduring partnership and mutual respect between PLC Sydney and VAS Hanoi.
