VAS Games 2024: Breaking Limits - Igniting Passion

Unlike previous years, VAS Games 2024 took place over three consecutive days, featuring all competition categories: Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Chinese Chess, and VASuke. More than just a tournament, it was truly a playground—a festive event where students passionately pursued sports, faced challenges, and united to achieve victory.

The changes in organization brought an energetic and dynamic atmosphere throughout the competition days. From fans to athletes, from the football field to the multi-purpose hall, the air was filled with cheers and enthusiastic support. VASers enjoyed a few days of both relaxation and full-on effort following their midterm exams.

“The feeling of winning a medal is indescribable! But more important than anything, I gave it my all and achieved victory with my teammates,” shared Hoang Quang Vinh from Class 12T1, who was named Best Player and earned the Gold Medal in the High School Boys’ Football event.

The Spirit of Sportsmanship Shines Bright

VAS Games 2024 not only created thrilling moments but also sparked a lasting spirit of sportsmanship in every VASer. Each match was a story of relentless effort, resilience, and overcoming challenges. Whether they won or lost, students gained valuable experiences and cherished memories of their own.

Parents didn’t miss the chance to join in the vibrant atmosphere alongside their children. Many made time in their busy schedules to cheer on the students during the intense matches. The cheers, applause, and radiant smiles provided a powerful source of motivation for the athletes to give their all. Moments of shared pride in victory or comfort in defeat brought unforgettable memories and deepened family bonds like never before.

“This has been an amazing season of VAS Games. Both the students and parents have fully enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and sportsmanship over the past few days,” shared Ms. Tô Thị Huyền Trang.

“Watching the students give their all and fight with determination, I truly felt the essence of genuine sportsmanship. Winning isn’t what matters most—it’s about daring to challenge oneself and pushing through limits together,” said Mr. Nguyễn Minh Thảo, a Physics teacher and a member of the VAS Games referee team, reflecting on the season.

VAS Games 2024 has officially come to a close, but the spirit of sportsmanship continues to spread. VASers have proven that sports are not only about victory but also a journey of self-discovery and growth, accompanied by the “7 Good Friends” throughout this academic year.
