Each month, Vas Hanoi students eagerly await the school-wide assembly event with a special theme, to be listened to and recharged with more positive energy for the week. This September, international teachers chose "Love of Reading" as the main theme for the assembly.

Reading is one of the most encouraged and focused on in Vas Hanoi, especially at primary school age. It is necessary to develop thinking and the ability to apply language and expand vocabulary. In an international learning environment where students often communicate with native teachers and study the Cambridge program in 100% English, improving more vocabulary, reading, and speaking skills will help students gain self-confidence in communicating and absorbing knowledge in class.

With the hope of encouraging and inspiring students' love of reading, international teachers organised a Book Review contest for grade 3 students, which took place within a month. Students read very enthusiastically and shared many interesting things about their favourite books.

The two winners of the Book Review contest are Tran Le Gia Phong and Nguyen Dinh Minh An, both studying in class 3A1.

During the assembly, teachers continued to share with the children the interesting things they get from reading a book, good books that should be read and appropriate for their age.

From this school year, Vas Hanoi will change the way the monthly assembly operated. There is one theme each month designed by teachers with a variety of content to make each assembly an extra-curricular activity that brings useful skills to students. This is also one of the activities to improve the interaction between teachers and students, providing a comprehensive international learning environment for Vas Hanoi students.
