New Leadership trends among teachers from VAS Hanoi Innovation Season 2025

26/11/2025

Amid the rapidly shifting rhythm of school life, VIS 2025 has become a moment where teachers, parents, and educators come together to listen, understand, and connect more deeply. More than a playground for innovative ideas, it is a space where genuine concerns, hopes, and beliefs for students are openly shared.

The stories and perspectives below offer parents and teachers a clearer view of the school’s vision, direction, and spirit of innovation reflected through VIS 2025.

Mr. Phan Dang Cuong – CEO

How do you evaluate the scale and quality of VAS Innovation Season 2025?
This year’s competition truly shows that VAS is building an innovation ecosystem. With 27 projects and 65 staff and teachers participating, we can see the maturity of our team: innovation is no longer driven by a few pioneers, but has become a shared mindset across the entire system.

What makes you most proud of this year’s projects?
Their ability to “turn simple things into meaningful innovations.” Many projects stem from everyday challenges yet offer creative, sustainable, and impactful solutions. That is the sign of an organization developing in depth.

Mr. Trinh Quang Dung – Standing Member of the Organizing Committee, Head of Development

From a school development perspective, what key trends do you observe from the 27 projects?
Three standout trends are:

  1. Pedagogical innovation through experiential learning;

  2. Increased application of technology and AI;

  3. A stronger focus on student well-being and emotional life.
These reflect the system’s holistic development direction.

How will these projects be utilized in the school’s development strategy?
We adopt an “innovation harvesting” approach — collecting the best initiatives, piloting them at larger scales, and integrating them into standardized operations. This year’s Top 9 award-winning projects are all ready for expansion; some have already shown immediate impact, such as Check’nPoint AI, Magical Vegetables, Wild English, and others.

What helps VAS teachers sustain such strong innovative spirit?
A culture of trust and empowerment. Teachers know that every idea has the potential to become real value. We continue to provide resources, expertise, mentorship — and most importantly, we are not afraid of mistakes during experimentation.

Ms. Quach Minh Huong – Principal, VAS Hanoi Primary School

How do you evaluate the primary-level projects?
I am impressed that all the projects address core issues of primary education: language skills, motivation, and leadership qualities. These are foundational elements shaping VAS students who are confident, proactive, and responsible.

Primary teachers are often very busy. What helps them carry out such high-quality projects?
Precisely because they are busy, they know they need effective and practical solutions. This year’s projects are not distant or theoretical ideas; they all come directly from classroom reality, which makes them sustainable, feasible, and truly meaningful.

Dr. Vu Thuy Huong – Principal, VAS Hanoi Secondary & High School

What stands out in this year’s secondary-level projects compared to previous years?
There is greater depth, stronger structure, and more systematic problem-solving. From CheckpointAI to Know Yourself – Choose Your Career, VAS Lab, VAS News, etc., teachers have approached innovation methodically — with surveys, data, and pilot models.

What are your expectations for the next phase of Innovation Season?
We hope the competition becomes a teacher development tool, enabling each teacher to become an innovator within their own classroom. Teachers have “transformed” — no longer just instructors, but organizers, guides, and solution creators.
Looking ahead, strong initiatives will be expanded and developed into VAS Hanoi’s signature educational products.

Dr. Vu Thi Quynh – Deputy Director of the Doctoral Program in Educational Management, Hanoi Metropolitan University; Judge

As an independent judge, how do you assess the quality of this competition?
I was genuinely surprised. The projects feature clear structures, sharp problem analyses, and measurable components. This represents a level of expertise rarely seen in school-level innovation competitions.

What innovation trend at VAS impresses you most?
Balance. VAS does not simply chase technology; it keeps learners at the center — motivation, emotions, confidence, and leadership skills. This is a sustainable development mindset.
Continue nurturing the spirit of “innovating from the ordinary.” Education truly changes only when teachers observe with sensitivity and act with heart.

Mr. Mai Viet Phuong – Head of VAS Hanoi Parent Council

From a parent’s perspective, how do you view Innovation Season?
I clearly see the dedication and openness of the teachers. Every initiative aims for students to be happier, more confident, and learn better. This gives parents tremendous reassurance.

What do parents hope for in the coming year?
The strongest hope is scalability. Good initiatives should be applied widely so more students can benefit. And we are always ready to accompany the school on that journey.
