Together We rebuild after the floods

In early October, our beloved Northern region has been enduring severe consequences as Storm No.10 passed and Storm No.11 followed closely after. Continuous heavy rains and post-storm flooding have devastated many localities—villages cut off, countless homes swept away, and schools submerged under water. Textbooks, desks, and learning materials have been severely damaged. Thousands of families are struggling, children are unable to attend school, and many lives have been upended by immense loss and hardship.

At this difficult time, when our fellow citizens in the flood-affected areas are in desperate need of care and support, the VAS Hanoi community stands together, extending our hearts and hands toward the North with love, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility as Vietnamese.

Upholding the noble tradition of “the good leaves protect the torn ones” and “sharing what we have with those in need,” the School, in collaboration with the Trade Union Executive Committee and the Parent Association, is launching the program “TOGETHER WE REBUILD AFTER THE FLOODS” – calling on all teachers, staff members, students, and parents to join hands in supporting those affected by the recent natural disasters.

Donation Time: 8:00 – 11:00, Friday, October 10, 2025

Donation Items

Textbooks, notebooks, school supplies, clothing, boots, sandals:
The School will transfer all collected items to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training at 1:30 PM on the same day (October 10, 2025) for prompt delivery to schools in flood-affected areas.
Dry food (instant noodles, milk, biscuits, etc.) and bottled water:
The School will coordinate with the Parent Association to organize a direct relief trip to deliver these essential items to the affected communities, working closely with local authorities to ensure they reach those in need.

Donation Guidelines

Please pack items neatly in boxes and label the contents clearly.
Food items must have a long remaining shelf life.
Do not mix beverages with dry goods, and do not pack food items together with other supplies.

Every contribution—big or small—carries with it a precious spirit of love and compassion. Each box, each packet of noodles, each book, or warm piece of clothing represents hope and encouragement, helping flood victims find comfort and strength to rebuild their lives.

VAS Hanoi sincerely thanks all teachers, staff, students, and parents for your heartfelt generosity. When every heart lights a candle of kindness, the warmth of faith and humanity will spread, illuminating even the darkest corners still shadowed by loss.
