Proudly bearing the names of both Vietnam and Australia, VAS Hanoi has always embraced the mission of connecting the two educational systems and nurturing the enduring friendship between the two nations. Since its founding in 2007, VAS Hanoi has established a strategic partnership with Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) Sydney. Through annual teacher training programs and student exchange activities held in both Hanoi and Sydney, the cooperation between the two schools has become increasingly strong and fruitful.
In addition to successfully implementing the Cambridge International Curriculum, VAS Hanoi is actively expanding connections with leading Australian universities such as The University of Melbourne, RMIT University, The University of Sydney, The University of New South Wales, and Monash University.

Australia remains one of the top destinations for Vietnamese students pursuing international education. Vietnam is currently the fourth largest source market for international education in Australia, with around 31,000 Vietnamese students and researchers studying there, and more than 8,000 Vietnamese students earning Australian qualifications while studying in Vietnam.
As more and more Vietnamese students choose Australia as their destination for study and career development, prestigious Australian universities have become among the top choices for VAS Hanoi students.

The teachers and students of VAS Hanoi are proud to have contributed, and to continue contributing, in small but meaningful ways to strengthening the partnership between Vietnam and Australia, especially in advancing sustainable and deeper cooperation in the future.
With her extensive experience and outstanding diplomatic career — including serving as Australia's first Ambassador to ASEAN, Australia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Ambassador to France — we believe that Ambassador Gillian Bird will continue to make significant contributions to fostering the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Australia and Vietnam, particularly in the fields of education and cultural exchange.
