From the very first, tentative notes to confident, resonant melodies, our young students truly “told stories” through music, pouring their efforts and joy into each performance. Tiny hands glided across the keys, guiding the audience through a rich musical journey – at times gentle, at others energetic – but always authentic and full of personal expression.
“My favorite part was choosing the song I wanted to play. I was a bit nervous during the performance, but then I was really happy when everyone clapped!” – Vũ Minh Đức, Grade 2A1, excitedly shared after his performance.
The recital was not only a showcase of the students’ dedication and progress, but also a heartfelt moment for parents and teachers to witness visible growth – both in musical skill and in confidence on stage.
“I was truly moved to see my child perform with such joy and confidence after many days of practice.”– Parent of Trịnh Bảo Linh, Grade 1A2.
“Music doesn’t just teach emotional depth and perseverance—it’s a wonderful way for children to express themselves. I’m incredibly proud of our young VAS artists today.” – Ms. Thanh Hương, Piano teacher, shared with emotion after witnessing her students perform the results of a year of dedication and learning.
Arts Education – An Essential Part of Holistic Student Development
At VAS Hanoi, artistic development and musical appreciation are emphasized from the Primary level as a key component of a well-rounded education. Our school has crafted a diverse, age-appropriate music program designed to nurture both skills and soul:
Grades 1–3: Introduction to piano as a foundational instrument, helping students develop pitch sensitivity, coordination, and patience.
Grades 4–5: Recorder lessons to enhance breath control, rhythm, and group collaboration.
Alongside instrumental practice, students also explore vocal music, stage presence, emotional expression, and public performance skills.
Through these arts subjects, VAS Hanoi aims to provide every student with opportunities to discover and nurture their unique talents, while cultivating a rich inner world, an appreciation for beauty, and the ability to express themselves confidently and positively.
