Among the top scorers are three VASers with perfect results:
Nguyen Le Doanh Doanh (Grade 12V3A4) – a perfect score of 1000/1000 in Microsoft Excel 2019.
Viet Tri Duc (Grade 10V1A1) and Pham An Vu (Grade 10V2A1) – both achieving 1000/1000 in Microsoft PowerPoint 2019.
Such achievements are the result of extensive preparation and a clear, personalized strategy for each student. Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Van, the ICT teacher and team coach, shared: "Building on experience from previous years, we designed a detailed learning roadmap tailored to different skill sets, with a focus on logical thinking, accuracy, and speed. The preparation process was divided into specific themes, combined with simulated tasks using the Gmetrix training software. Our training sessions were not only about knowledge and skills, but also focused on developing students’ test-taking mindset and reaction time under pressure. For practice exams, I set the benchmark at a perfect score within 10 minutes and trained students to consistently meet that goal."
A special highlight comes from Nguyen Le Doanh Doanh, who was named among the Top 25 national finalists in the Microsoft Excel 2019 category, earning a spot in the National Final Round scheduled for May 18, 2025.
One of the most notable innovations of the 2025 season is the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the test – a breakthrough step towards assessing the comprehensive capabilities of candidates in applying emerging technologies.
Commenting on the team’s preparation for this new challenge, Ms. Van emphasized: "Among the three comprehensive tasks in the National Final, the ‘Creation’ task is an open-ended challenge that requires students to flexibly apply their Excel skills to solve a practical, highly applicable problem. It is also the only part where candidates are allowed to incorporate AI tools. Taking advantage of this opportunity, we actively integrated AI into our preparation process – using it to analyze problem types, suggest optimal table and chart structures, and quickly evaluate the logic of data processing steps."
This year’s competition drew nearly 2,000 carefully selected participants from 230 teams representing high schools, vocational institutions, colleges, and universities nationwide. Successfully conquering the MOS international IT certification standard through this competition gives VASers a significant advantage in both academic pursuits and future careers.
Continuing the Legacy of Excellence
The achievements of VASers in 2025 continue to extend the school’s legacy of success at MOSWC:
In 2020–2021, student Nguyen Ha Linh proudly secured Third Prize at the National Level in Microsoft Excel 2019.
In 2022–2023, students Pham Minh Nguyet and Le Kim Khanh were both recognized among the Top 25 national finalists in the MOSWC 2023 competition.
These remarkable results not only demonstrate the strong IT skills and digital competence of VAS Hanoi students, but also serve as powerful evidence of the school’s forward-thinking educational strategy – one that emphasizes digital literacy, technological mindset, and global integration.
