VASers, teachers, and parents together created a truly memorable and inspiring Opening Ceremony. Leading the parade was the Honor Guard Team, followed by the adorable mascot of this year’s tournament — Kang U. The procession continued with the School Leadership Board, the referee team, and the most vibrant part — the colorful classes proudly showcasing their unique flags and uniforms, turning the field into a lively sea of enthusiasm. Each class marched with pride, and as thousands of eyes turned toward the field, the sense of belonging and community became stronger than ever.

The solemn oaths made by referees and athlete representatives once again affirmed the values of honesty, dedication, and wholehearted effort for a successful VAS Games. The friendly tug-of-war match between parents and teachers kicked off the day with laughter and connection — a wonderful reminder that VAS Games is not only for students, but also a celebration that unites families, the school, and the wider community. The spirit of camaraderie, sharing, and mutual encouragement laid the foundation for the young athletes to confidently enter their upcoming competitions.

VAS Games 2025 features seven sports tailored for primary students — each offering a unique and valuable lesson:

• Football – At VAS Games, football is more than scoring goals. Through passing, teamwork, and defense, students learn to read the game, share responsibility, and embrace their roles within the team — from goalkeeper to striker.

• Basketball – A sport of agility and coordination, basketball hones spatial awareness, precision, and courage. Every shot, rebound, or interception teaches VASers confidence and the willingness to take calculated risks.

• Tug-of-war – The ultimate symbol of teamwork. This sport fosters unity, communication, and unwavering determination — a true embodiment of “one for all, all for one.”

• Badminton – A blend of speed, precision, and strategy. Students sharpen their reflexes and tactical thinking while respecting fairness and sportsmanship.

• Rope Jumping – A rhythmic sport that builds endurance, perseverance, and balance. Simple yet meaningful, it allows every student to participate and see their own progress through practice.

• Chess – A battle of intellect, patience, and time management. At the primary level, chess helps develop planning skills, foresight, and the ability to accept the consequences of one’s choices.

• Short-distance Running – A test of speed, willpower, and mental resilience. It nurtures competitiveness, self-discipline, and the ability to stay calm under pressure — vital traits both in sports and in life.

VAS Games is not just about trophies or medals. Every match and event is a journey of growth where students learn to:

• Build discipline: be punctual, follow the rules, and respect referees and opponents.

• Develop social skills: communicate, collaborate, and support teammates.

• Overcome challenges: accept failure, learn from it, and strive to improve next time.

• Strengthen overall well-being: through fitness, coordination, and a positive mindset.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the organizing committee prepared a detailed schedule, separate competition zones, a standby medical team, and coordinators to manage rest times appropriately. Grouping students by age and skill level guarantees fair play and balanced competition for everyone.

VAS Games 2025 is not only the start of another exciting sports season — it ignites a lasting flame of perseverance, teamwork, and curiosity within every VASer. When the final whistle blows, the lessons of determination, responsibility, and solidarity will continue to guide them forward — not only on the sports field, but also in their studies and in life.
