The Vietnam-Australia School, Hanoi is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Upper Primary Math Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. As a math teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing a love for mathematics and fostering a solid foundation of mathematical skills in our primary school students.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging math lesson plans for students in accordance with the Cambridge Curriculum for stage 4, 5 and 6.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology to make math concepts relatable and accessible to students.
- Provide support and guidance to students, addressing their unique learning needs and challenges.
- Assess and uate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the math curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field, with a specialization in Mathematics or Primary Education.
- Teaching certification or license in Mathematics or Primary Education.
- Proven experience teaching primary-level math, with a strong understanding of math concepts and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into the math curriculum is preferred.
